Seven sign on for Nuts and Bolts

Ashford United confirm their first squad members for 2020-21

Ashford United manager Tommy Warrilow yesterday confirmed that he was making good progress in building a squad ready to fight for promotion in 2020-21, revealing the names of seven players who had agreed to stay- with hopefully more to come. The Nuts and Bolts, who were second in the South East Division, three points behind Hastings United, unveiled the following:

Sam Mott- goalkeeper Sam joined the club from Hornchurch in the summer of 2018, and made thirty six appearances last season. He was part of the Hornchurch squad that won the North Division title in 2017-18, and still holds the Urchins record for the most clean sheets.

Jake McIntyre- full back Jake made thirty six appearances last season, scoring two goals. He joined the club from VCD Athletic in March 2019.

Josh Wisson- midfielder Josh joined the club from Herne Bay, and also previously featured for Sittingbourne. He made thirty one appearances last season, and towards the end of it decided he quite fancied himself as a striker, managing four goals in six games- including the winner against Hastings.

Tommie Fagg- midfielder Tommie only arrived at Homelands shortly before the end of last season, making five appearances and scoring once. He'd already played twenty seven times for Sittingbourne, and previously played for Harlow Town.

Aaron Condon- Aaron was one of last season's success stories, making the number eleven shirt his own and scoring fifteen times. Aaron left Brightlingsea Regent at the end of 2018-19, signed for Hastings United, left there almost immediately, moved to Aveley, and played six times for the Millers before heading to Homelands.

Theo Osinfolarin- Theo made twenty eight appearances last season, many from the bench, scoring once- although scoring isn't really his job, he's designed to keep them out!
