Several Oysters

Whitstable Town were busy in the transfer market last week

As well as registering himself to play, new Whitstable Town boss Andy Drury brought in a collection of new players prior to the transfer window closing last week.

Scott Doe, a defender, comes in from Hythe Town. Scott has no shortage of experience at a much higher level, having previously turned out for Dagenham & Redbridge around three hundred times. His career also takes in Boreham Wood, Whitehawk, Billericay Town, Dover Athletic and Welling United. He also spent a brief period at Romford during the Glenn Tamplin era (to be fair, even Glenn Tamplin only spent a brief time at Romford during the Glenn Tamplin era).

Midfielder Jack Hanson came in from Ashford United. He has only been with the Nuts and Bolts since early January, moving from Cray Wanderers, where he made nine appearances.

He was formerly a youth player at Dover Athletic, and spent time at Hemel Hempstead Town in January of last year, making his debut in the National League South match at Chippenham Town. Prior to his move he was part of a number of Dover Athletic squads, and a first team starter during pre-season.

He was playing for the Under 18 side at the Crabble whilst still under sixteen, and part of the Kent FA Schools Under 18 squad too.

His also spent some time at Sittingbourne, making two appearances during the 2019-20 campaign.

Left back Veron Nzinga came in from Margate. and previously spent time at Redbridge, whilst Jack Miles returns to the Oysters after time at Guildford City. He previously played for Sevenoaks Town and Ashford United.

Goalkeeper Adam Highsted has previously been with Hythe Town, Canvey Island, Whyteleafe, Ramsgate- and Whitstable Town, amongst others.
