Sharp-shooting striker heads to Marlow

Hellenic hitman signs on

Marlow have announced the signing of striker Fabian Driffill, who has notched eighty two goals in his last one hundred and five appearances for Holyport in the Hellenic League. The club were in third place in Division One East- Step six- when last season came to an early conclusion. Our friends at Football in Berkshire named him their Berkshire Player of the Season last Friday night.

Marlow boss Mark Bartley had this to say about his new signing:

"I am always looking around at the local clubs to see if there are players that we might be able to take on and develop, whilst improving our squad at the same time and Fabian fits the bill. Its clear that we need to be better in the front end of the pitch, and it’s hard to deny that Fabian will help us to do that.

I know it’s a step up for him, but I think his record last season of 29 goals in 31 appearances (which brought his total record at Holyport to 82 goals in 105 appearances), go some way into showing that he has the attributes to do well at this level."
