Eddie Allsopp signs on at Chatham Town

Chatham Town yesterday announced the signing of Sheppey United forward Eddie Allsopp.

Eddie was a big part of Herne Bay's success during the 21-22 season, making twenty appearances, whilst scoring two goals. He also spent some of that campaign with Faversham Town, playing sixteen times and scoring three goals.

He started last season at Bowers and Pitsea, playing twice, before his move to the Ites. He played sixteen times with four goals for United lasts eason, and has made three appearances since the start of this campaign, scoring in the FA Cup win against Midhurst and Easebourne.

Eddie previously appeared for Barking- on loan from Charlton Athletic- during the 2020-21 campaign and scored six goals in eleven appearances before injury sent him back to the Valley. He came through the ranks at Phoenix Sports before moving to the Valley on an initial two year deal back in 2018, and was part of the Under 23 squad before leaving the club in the summer of 2021.
