Shine a light! Enfield launch floodlight and ground improvement appeal

Towners the latest club to ask for financial support

Enfield Town this morning launched their 'Shine a Light' appeal- which they hope will raise ten thousand pounds to help them improve their floodlights and undertake additional ground improvements at their QEII Stadium.

The club explain:

In the wake of the coronavirus pandemic, the 2019-20 season for all Enfield Town FC teams was ended with results expunged, and there will be a fresh start for a new season whenever government guidelines indicate that it is safe to do so. With that in mind, and with a 2020-21 campaign start date unknown at this time, the club has been encouraged by the securing of the impact of COVID-19 relief grant funding, supplemented by vital ongoing donations, in order to help balance the books and keep the club ticking over during its mothballing for the foreseeable future. But there remains a lot of work to be done before football starts again.

With the club's current inactivity with no income from matchdays posing a financial challenge, we are seeking to improve our floodlights and undertake other ground improvements. Please help us reach our target if you can!

To help encourage support, donors can enter one of five special draws, to win prizes such as the opportunity to 'shadow' the manager, win hospitality prizes, pick the man of the match- and more.
