AN FA TROPHY was on the cards at Kingstonian on Sunday when Kieran Murphy’s own goal handed Ryman South club Eastbourne Town the lead immediately after half-time.
They stayed in front until 15 minutes from, time, when Wade Small levelled the scores, and Small struck again seven minutes later as K’s squeezed through 2-1. He is pictured (right) battling for the ball: picture courtesy of Andy Nunn.
It was tight at Lewes, too, where a single goal from Ben Godfrey right on half-time left Premier rivals Lowestoft with nothing to show for their 330-mile round-trip.
Home tie rewards giant-killers
WHITSTABLE'S reward for their FA Trophy victory over Harrow is a home tie against Ryman South rivals Leatherhead in the second qualifying round, to be played on the weekend of October 27/28.
