Speirs and Hagan sign on for Lilywhites

Faversham's squad building continues

Faversham Town manager James Collins has had a busy summer so far- and he hasn't finished yet. His latest confirmed signings see one player return from last season and another arrive for the first time, as two wide men sign on at Salters Lane.

The returning player is winger Michael Hagan. Michael made fifteen appearances last season, scoring twice, against Hythe Town and Burgess Hill Town. He was previously with Chatham Town, notably scoring the winning goal in the final of the 2019 Kent Senior Trophy. His manager at that point is his manager now, Collins bringing him to Salters Lane from Chatham not too long after he made the same journey himself.

The new signing, a left winger/left back, is another former Chatham player, Jamie Spiers. Collins, speaking to the club website about his new acquisition, explained:

"He’s 6ft 2, possesses real strength, pace and energy, and fits the criteria of what we are looking for. He’s predominantly a left-back but can play wide left too, and if he applies himself properly in pre-season he will be a real asset to us.”
