Splatt for Whitehawk

Hawks sign Tonbridge Angels striker Javaun

Whitehawk have announced the signing of striker Javaun Splatt from National League South side Tonbridge Angels.

Javaun joined Angels just before the start of last season after departing Derby County, where he was an Under 18 and Under 23 squad member. Isthmian watchers might remember him from his loan spells at Carshalton Athletic and Chipstead, as well as- and this is unlikely- from his time as a very young prospect at Dulwich Hamlet. He managed one appearance for the Chips last season- and scored, as they defeated South Park- whilst he played five times for
Athletic during the 2019-20 season, scoring once.

Whilst with the Rams, as well as playing for their U18s and U23s, he also had loan spells at Barnsley U23s, Mickleover Sports.

Hawks boss Ross Standen told the club website:

"Javaun is a young lad who wants to return to the pro game, someone who showed a great attitude when speaking with him and in the first few training sessions we have seen him in. A great size giving us another option to our forward line, very mobile and with great work rate alongside great strength & technical ability will see him be a big asset to the club and we look forward to working with him!”
