Summers Duane

Prior to Saturday's narrow defeat against Horsham, Wingate and Finchley unveiled a new striker

Wingate and Finchley have announced the signing of striker Duane Ofori-Acheampong, and gave him a second half debut from the bench in their narrow home defeat against Horsham.

Duane has played for a number of clubs, many higher up the pyramid than the Summers Lane Blues. These include Southend United, Grays Athletic, Braintree Town, Dover Athletic, Cray Wanderers, Torquay United, Woking and Harrow Borough. Last season he was at Whitehawk, where he made twenty nine appearances and scored twelve goals, including a hat trick against Herne Bay.

Manager Spencer Knight stated:

"I’m delighted to be able to add Duane to our attacking options.

He’s someone that we have been trying to get on board for a while. I have no doubt that Duane will be a great success and will quickly become a fan’s favourite".
