Sunday's Ryman North action review

By David Watters

Ryman North leaders AFC Sudbury's Sunday football ended in another victory at a windy Chadfields as Haringey Borough were beaten 3-1, writes Pitchero's Steve Whitney.

Playing against a very strong wind in the first half, Sudbury fell behind to a 12th minute Josh Willer effort before levelling just before the interval with a Liam Wales goal.

With the wind at their backs in the second period, Sudbury managed to play some better football and gained the initiative when Joe Maybanks put them in front after 71 minutes. his, however, came after goalkeeper Marcus Garnham had produced a wonderful full length diving save to keep the visitors in it.

Maybanks netted a second 8 minutes later and should have completed his hat-trick but somehow struck the post with the open goal gapping. Sudbury now lead the table by eleven points with ten games to go.
