Supporters predictions- the outcome: North Division

If you've been reading our predictions series over the last month or so, you might have been wondering when you'd get to see the final tables. Well never fear, between today and Saturday morning you'll get to see all of them, and expect to see them printed out and stuck to dressing room walls as inspiration in the near future!

The Pitching In Isthmian North Division looks especially tight this season, but then it has been rather close during the last two unfinished seasons, and even the season before that. Nobody is likely to be surprised by the predicted top six- although places three to six were so close they were almost interchangeable. You were quite sure that Maldon & Tiptree would walk away with the title, and that Aveley would almost run them close, but the order that Tilbury, Canvey Island, Heybridge Swifts and Bury Town would finish was still uncertain until the last set of votes.

Your idea of who would struggle at the bottom was, however, anything but close. Sixty percent of you placed Witham Town at the bottom of the pile, and the only person who expected Romford not to be in the bottom three was the club representative. Hullbridge Sports and Great Wakering Rovers were well above these two, and there was another gap between Rovers and Basildon United, who seem to have confused a number of people about how good- or otherwise- they'll be this season.

Your favourite Pitching In Isthmian North Division ground? Aveley, Coggeshall Town, Canvey Island and Bury Town all get honourable mentions, but the North Division winner was AFC Sudbury's MEL Group Stadium. We'll have the overall results on Sunday- let's see if the Yellows can win that prize, too!
