Swifts host fundraising fixture

Heybridge Swifts hosted a charity match for the Helen Rollason Cancer Charity on Wednesday night.

Braintree businesses Core Construction and Keyline battled it out in a fundraising fixture at Scraley Road for Jade Hendry who is running the London Marathon next year to raise money for the charity which has support centres in Essex, London and Hertfordshire.

The Ryman North club's officials opened up all the facilities at their home for the event which included a raffle and charity auction.

Dedicated to supporting people whose lives are touched by cancer since being founded in 1999, the charity is the legacy of BBC broadcaster Helen Rollason.
