Swifts secure six...

...and appoint a new manager for their Under 23 side

Heybridge Swifts fans have some good news to celebrate, after the club announced that three of last season's squad have agreed to remain- and that they have added another three new signings to the squad for the upcoming season.

The three who are staying put are midfielders Jack Adlington-Pile and George Craddock, and forward Manny Osei-Owusu. Jack made twenty eight appearances last season, finding the back of the net six times, whilst George became an ever-present in the side from the start of 2020. Manny played thirty four times, and scored four goals.

The new arrivals are Joe Debell, a midfielder who heads back to the club after a few months at Coggeshall United; Chris Gregan, a left back who spent some time last season on loan at Bishop's Stortford from parent club Chelmsford City, and who has also played for Gloucester City, Frome Town, Yate Town and Harlow Town; and midfielder Harry McDonald- who we suspect is the same Harry McDonald who used to turn out for Brightlingsea Regent and Clacton.

The new manager for their Under 23 side is former Tring Athletic boss Kevin Christou. He left Athletic in difficult circumstances back in February.
