Gateshead- and former Leeds United- goalkeeper signs on at Worthing

Worthing have had a collection of fine goalkeepers over the last few years, and that line looks likely to continue as they have signed Harrison Male, most recently of Gateshead but previously of Leeds United.

Harrison spent twelve years at Elland Road, became an England Under 16 international, and perhaps might have made a breakthrough had he not struggled with injury. He signed his first professional deal in 2019, but spent much of his professional year unavailable and left the club in June last year.

He signed for Gateshead last autumn, but the curtailment of the National League North season meant he only got to play for the club have a dozen times. Having recently moved to the South East (well, either that or he went the wrong way on the A1 and didn't stop until he hit the sea) he made his Worthing debut in a recent friendly against East Preston, and Mackerel Men boss Adam Hinshelwood obviously liked what he saw.

You can watch his highlights reel below.
