Tangerines make manager change

Ashford Town announce a move from the dugout to the boardroom

Ashford Town have announced that manager- and former player- Russell Canderton has decided to step down from his role with the first team and join the board of directors.

Russell took over an enormously depleted squad last summer, and at the time the season was brought prematurely to an end had taken his newly-rebuilt side to seventeenth in the BetVictor Isthmian South Central Division.

The club have made a statement which you can read here, and hope to make an announcement on Russell's replacement shortly.
