Leatherhead team up with Mole Valley Girls to launch Leatherhead FC Women

Leatherhead have become the latest Pitching In Isthmian side to embrace Women's football as they have announced a partnership with local club Mole Valley Girls. As a result of this partnership, Mole Valley's successful Under 18's side with be playing as Leatherhead FC Women, hopefully in the South East County Women’s League, Division 1 West.

Neil Harlow, Leatherhead FC Women’s Manager, explained:

“The overall aim is to create a competitive women's team playing alongside Leatherhead men’s team where there are great facilities, resources and standing to enable our girls to continue representing Mole Valley as a beacon of women’s football in the south-east of England. Leatherhead FC is a club with a tremendous heritage and a bright future and we are determined to ensure that the Women’s football team is a big part of that."

Speaking on behalf of Mole Valley Girls FC, Denise Davenport added:

“By working with Leatherhead FC we are offering a pathway into another leading club in the area. At MVGFC we will continue, as we have done since 2010, to offer access to grassroots football to all young girls and older players within the region.

We are delighted that Neil and his team will continue to be involved with MVGFC, with a number of players committed to coaching and developing our younger teams.”
