Taylor of the Hill

Jack Taylor, borrowed from Sutton United, makes a Burgess Hill debut

Burgess Hill Town gave a debut to defender Jack Taylor in Saturday's goalless FA Cup draw with Erith Town.

Jack, who moves to the More Than Tyres Stadium on loan from Sutton United, isn't new to Sussex. The centre back is a graduate of the Bexhill College Football Academy, and whilst studying went on to play Under 18 football for National League South side Eastbourne Borough before becoming part of their first team squad as they made it into the Play Offs at the end of the 21-22 season. This brought him to the attention of the folks at Gander Green Lane, and he signed for Sutton in summer 2022.

He was part of the United side which took on Merstham in the Surrey senior Cup last November, and indeed scored the opening goal for his side in a three-nil win.
