Harry and Alfie Grant sign on at Marlow

Pitching In Isthmian South Central promotion-chasers Marlow last night announced the signing of brothers Harry and Alfie Grant.

Midfielder Harry played youth football for Reading and Swindon Town, before playing professionally for Sheffield Wednesday and Gillingham.

He went on to play for the likes of Chippenham Town, Maidenhead United and North Leigh, but will be better known to Isthmian watchers for his time with Thatcham Town. He was part of their FA Vase winning side in his first spell as a Kingfisher, and has made eight appearances this season, including in defeat against his new club on New Years Day.

Brother Alfie is a defender, who has also spent time with the Kingfishers. He also spent time alongside his brother with North Leigh, and signs on a dual registration basis from Reading City. He was a young player at Oxford United, and has also played for Highmoor-Ibis and Wantage Town.
