They're starting young at the Gs!

When young fan Michael Ewing found out that Godalming Town didn't do stats like he'd seen on Sky Sports and the BBC he decided to take matters into his own hands at the Ryman South's Gs.

Pictured at Tooting & Mitcham United on Saturday with his clipboard and notes after his club's 1-0 defeat at the KNK Stadium, the seven-year-old asked his dad to have a word with club officials two years ago and he's been keeping a track of Godalming's vital match stats ever since!

The young supporter, who was only five when his dad first volunteered his services, now plays a key role in the Surrey club's match coverage, providing the stats for the matchday programme as well as the official website.

Now nearly eight, last season he collected the club's junior supporter of the year award for his services as well as earning himself the geeky but not undeserved title of Stats Man Michael!

The youngster's devotion has already caught the imagination of fellow fans on Instagram with many rushing to like and share his picture at the weekend after it was posted on the league's official account by Ryman League secretary Kellie Discipline who was at the match in south London.
