Striker Daniel Thompson makes Phoenix Sports debut

Phoenix Sports introduced striker Daniel Thompson for his debut midway through the second half of Saturday's defeat at Merstham.

Daniel made the move to Sports from Bowers and Pitsea, but he wasn't there long, as he only moved to the Len Salmon in September. He still managed ten appearances, and scored two goals.

Prior to his time with Bowers, Daniel was with Chatham Town. He played for the Chats in two spells last season- initially on loan from Worthing. He scored four Chats goals, in fifteen appearances.

Daniel ended the 21-22 campaign at Whitehawk. He moved to the Enclosed Ground from Margate, where he made twenty one appearances, scoring seven goals.

Daniel spent the 2020-21 season- what there was of it- with East Grinstead Town. He made nine appearances, scoring two goals. He joined from Kingstonian, and will be familiar to Pitching In Isthmian League supporters not only from his time with the aforemention clubs, but because he's also played in our league for Hampton & Richmond Borough, Bognor Regis Town, Chipstead, Burgess Hill Town and Tonbridge Angels- and has also spent time at a higher level with Braintree Town and Dulwich Hamlet.
