Three and Perrins

By Ian Townsend

Herne Bay goalkeeper Jordan Perrin doesn't just keep them out- he scores them too!

When we wrote our brief report on yesterday's match between Three Bridges and Herne Bay, which ended in a three-two win for the side from the Kent coast, we mentioned that Bay's third goal was scored by Jordan Perrin. What we failed to mention (because we hadn't noticed) was that Jordan is actually Bay's GOALKEEPER!

Spectator Lester Metcalf got in touch earlier today to ask:

'Were you aware that Herne Bay’s third goal was scored by their goalkeeper Jordan Perrin? He cleared the ball from outside his own penalty area and it landed a few yards in front of the opposition penalty area. The Bridges keeper had come out of his goal, and the ball bounced over him and into the net.'

Well we weren't aware, but we are now. Thanks Lester- and many congratulations to Jordan, who has created a moment he can recount to his grandchildren and great grandchildren for many years to come!
