Three Bridges creating new fans in Africa!

Club helping charity by donating old kit

Three Bridges FC contributed to an appeal which helps deprived communities in Africa to improve the quality of their lives through sport.

The Sussex FA, on behalf of a charity organisation called Sussex to Africa, asked for old shirts, shorts, socks, tracksuits, boots, trainers, goalkeeper gloves, shin pads and- of course- footballs. As a consequence there are now a collection of small children running around their villages dressed in stripes, as you can see from the image above!

Sussex to Africa, who you can read about here, started in 2007 and is a collaborative network of people and organisations designed to link Sussex to all things African at home and abroad. Their work aims to support the Zambia Institute of Agriculture in Ndola, helping the disadvantaged and vulnerable. Details of the Kits for Africa scheme can be found on the Sussex FA website, here.
