Three Dockers

By Ian Townsend

We've no ships to unload, but we do have Charlie Heatley, Ayo Shogbeni and Sahid Nallo new at Tilbury

Tilbury may not have picked up three points as they took on promotion-chasing Lowestoft Town on Saturday, but they did have three new names in their squad.

Forward Charlie Heatley started this season at Basildon United, making six appearances. He ended last season with Whitstable Town, scoring twice in eleven appearances as the Oysters failed to retain their Pitching In Isthmian South East status.

Charlie moved down to the Kent coast from Barking, where he had scored nine goals in thirty one appearances- and he has also been playing for Barking this season, in the Essex Senior League.

He previously played for Frenford, and prior to that for FC Hamlets and Mile End, and apparently was once a goalkeeper- so at least his new manager won't need one of those on the bench!

Defender Ayo Shogbeni returns to the club, where he made ten appearances last season. He started this campaign with Basildon United, playing seven times before a move to Coggeshall Town, and was previously with Coggeshall Town and Romford. Ayo was a Crystal Palace youth before moving to play Under 18 football with Morecambe, home of the best football pies in the country (we've no idea whether he ate any).

Finally, midfielder Sahid Nallo comes in on loan from Leyton Orient, where he has been an important part of the Under 18 side- indeed just last week he was starring for the O's as they defeated Southend United in the EFL Youth Alliance South East Conference.
