Three K's

Kingstonian welcome two from Dorking and one from Merstham via Chelsea

Kingstonian last night announced three new signings- although one of them is a former star returning to the club once more.

That fans favourite is Elliot Buchanan, who joined Dorking Wanderers from the K's in February 2019, scoring six goals in nine matches to help his new club to the Isthmian Premier title, before spending last season playing in National League South as Wanderers made the playoffs in their first season at Step Two.

He'd already managed fifteen goals for the K's before his move to Meadowbank, and of course won the Isthmian Premier Golden Boot whilst at Staines Town, scoring thirty nine times. He previously played for Stevenage Borough, Hayes and Yeading United, Margate, Bishop's Stortford, Newport County and Chelmsford City.

Also moving from the town with the large cockerel is left winger/left back Tom Richards. Equally at home in either position Tom played forty four times during Wanderers title winning season, weighing in with ten crucial goals. He joined Wanderers from Leatherhead, where he was a crucial part of the squad which reached the Second Round of the FA Cup in 2017-18 and missed out on the playoffs only on goal difference. Tom previously played for AFC Wimbledon and Aldershot Town after coming through the Academy at Fulham.

Finally, midfielder Tom Howard returns to playing. The midfielder came through the Chelsea Academy before injury cut short his professional career. You may remember him from his time at Merstham, and although he had little luck with injuries at the Moatsiders too, missing the majority of the 2017-18 season, he was part of the squad who won promotion from the South Division in 2015 and reached the First Round of the FA Cup the following year. He also spent time at Metropolitan Police and Ashford Town, and has more recently been an Academy coach back at Stamford Bridge.
