Ashford Town last night announced the arrival of three new players- well, two new players and a returning favourite.
Goalkeeper Aaron Bufton moved over from South Central rivals South Park, and made his debut in the draw with Harlow Town last Saturday. He'd only been with the Sparks for a couple of weeks, making one appearance in their win at Chalfont St Peter. He previously played for Hanwell Town making forty five appearances for the Geordies last season, rather peculiarly for a goalkeeper also picking up seven yellow cards.
He's vastly experienced, and has played for other Isthmian League or former Isthmian League clubs, including Cheshunt, Corinthian-Casuals, Egham Town and Northwood. His other clubs include Farnborough, Godalming Town, Hillingdon Borough, Guildford City, Aylesbury and Aldershot Town.
Joining Aaron is striker Pat Cox. Another well-travelled player, he's previously turned out for Farnborough, Winchester City, Fleet Town, Merstham, Staines Town, Basingstoke Town, Hayes and Yeading United, Guildford City, Gosport Borough and Bashley.
Finally, Samad Kazi returns to the club. The defender has had a number of years as a Tangerine, and was the joint winner of the Managers Player of the Year Award last season. He has also turned out for Walton and Hersham, and this season has been with Uxbridge.
