Thurrock, who make the short trip across the Dartford bridge to face Thamesmead, have an unique record: they won the League Cup without being members of the league. The 2004 final was held over until August and, by the time they beat Dunstable 5-1, Thurrock were members of the new Conference South.
The only other confirmed tie is an all-Sussex affair in which FA Cup heroes Hastings – and we wish them luck in their second-round replay against Harrogate tonight – entertain Whitehawk.
Kingstonian, the other previous winners – they beat Aldershot 4-1 in the 1996 final – must first beat Metropolitan Police in one of the delayed ties to earn a quarter-final visit to Wealdstone or Dulwich, runners-up in 2010 and 2011 respectively.
Concord are at home in the other game to one of the league’s newest clubs, either Soham, who joined last season, or Wroxham, who are in their first campaign.
The draw (matches to be played in the week beginning January 14):
Concord Rangers v Soham Town Rangers or Wroxham
Hastings United v Whitehawk
Thamesmead Town v Thurrock
Wealdstone or Dulwich Hamlet v Kingstonian or Metropolitan Police
