Tougher tests to come, warns Brickies boss

Sittingbourne's Matt Wyatt reckons he and joint-manager Nick Davis will have one of the toughest jobs in the Ryman League next season.

Wyatt and Davis are preparing for their first full season in charge after leading the Brickies to Ryman South safety following the departures of Jim and Danny Ward last September.

Wyatt told www.kentonline.co.uk on Wednesday that he believes their opponents could pose them even more problems come August having seen the changes they've made since arriving at Woodstock Park.

He said: "I think me and Nick have the hardest job in the league next season. Firstly, we play good football and sometimes teams like that because the ball’s not down their throats all the time.

"When we win playing nice football we get a pat on the back but sometimes it’s not going to work out and supporters must understand that. We need to be clever as a management team and have a plan B, C and D when things aren’t working out.

"The second thing is teams will probably show us more respect and do their homework on us. We were a bit of an unknown quantity last season and people didn’t realise how good our players were."
