Towners bring in Casuals Okojie

Enfield sign Casuals striker

Enfield Town have signed Corinthian-Casuals striker Shaun Okojie- and gave him his debut from the bench in the first half of their hammering at Hornchurch on Saturday.

Okojie first came to prominence as part of the Casuals side which got to the South Division Playoff Final in 2017, scoring at a rate of more than a goal a game. His performances saw him pick up interest from a number of professional clubs, and he eventually joined Aldershot Town in July 2017.

His time at Aldershot didn't work out, and he left the club after making nine appearances and scoring one goal, also having loan spells with Wealdstone and Eastbourne Borough. Last season he was back in the Isthmian League, with Leatherhead, making forty seven appearances throughout the season without his former proficiency in front of goal, before starting this season with Concord Rangers in National League South. He soon found himself back at Casuals, making his latest debut in September's FA Cup win against Sevenoaks Town and scoring six goals in eighteen matches, the last in Casuals three-one defeat at Folkestone on January 25th.
