Tuesday night football!

By Ian Townsend

We haven't got much of it left, but here's what we do have- and some added programmes!

The fuel shortage has left us with a fixture shortage, indeed we're left with only five fixtures. Here's what remains.

The Pitching In Isthmian Premier has Cheshunt v Brightlingsea Regent and Haringey Borough v Potters Bar Town.

The Ambers had won three games in a row, and scored three goals in each, before coming up against Carshalton Athletic on Saturday- but on that occasion they conceded three, so this match will see them wanting to get quickly back to winning ways. Regent, in contrast, had lost three league matches in a row before travelling to Cray Wanderers and triumphing by two goals to nil, so will be full of confidence. Four of the last five matches between the two have been draws, the other a narrow Amber win.

You can read the programme here.

Down the road from the Ambers, Haringey Borough are hosting Potters Bar Town. Borough got back to winning ways after three consecutive defeats by walloping East Thurrock United five-one, whilst the Scholars might not have picked up three points on Saturday but perhaps would have picked up the Premier Division "comeback of the day" award had such a thing existed, coming from three goals down to earn a draw at Folkestone Invicta. Borough won on the last two occasions the sides met.

You can read the programme for that one by heading here.

Into the Pitching In isthmian North, and we start with Canvey Island v Brentwood Town. The Gulls are still unbeaten in the league, put four past Coggeshall Town on Saturday, and have Evans Kouassi on five goals and Matthew Price- who got three on Saturday- on nine. Their visitors haven't played for almost three weeks but have looked very good in patches. This looks a fabulous match in prospect.

The programme for that one is here.

Maldon and Tiptree want to get back to winning ways after rather unexpectedly losing their last two matches. The Jammers host Basildon United, another side who have been rather inconsistent so far this season but who have drawn their last two matches. Another one with an e-programme, you'll find it here. Witham Town host Hashtag United. Town could mathematically go top with victory, although they'd be more likely to go third as to go top they'd need to win by thirteen clear goals, and it would be seven go to second! The visitors have lost their last two matches and conceded six goals in the process, but just before that were beating Maldon & Tiptree three-nil so we've no idea how to predict their form!
