Tuesday night friendly round up

We had the Pitching In Isthmian Charity Shield- and a host of friendlies. Here- with a great reliance on social media- is what happened


Title winners Worthing and cup winners Horsham faced off at Woodside Road in the Pitching In Isthmian League Charity Shield. After a goalless first half the Mackerel Men took control, and eased to a three-nil win, with goals from Jammeh, Bobomurodov and Hoarty.

Beckenham Town defeated Kent Football United SEVEN- one, whilst Northwood were one-nil victors over New Salamis.

Clacton defeated Basildon United two-one, whilst Wroxham defeated Norwich CBS two-nil, Poynter and Hazell with the goals, the second one a chip over the keeper from distance.

Stowmarket Town defeated Brightlingsea Regent two-one, Upson amongst the scorers for Stow, Sotoyinbo with the Regent goal.

Brentwood Town hosted North Division champions Aveley, and the Millers headed home with a three-nil win, scorers unknown.

Great Wakering Rovers welcomed Canvey Island, and the Gulls left two-one winners. Hubble and Kouassi got the visitors goals, whilst East Thurrock Utd lost to Hornchurch by the same margin, Stimson and Wraight with the Urchins goals.

Bishop's Stortford and Grays Athletic drew two-two, whilst Hastings United fell four-one to Dulwich Hamlet, Gil Carvalho with the United goal. Elsehwhere, another United side was defeating Eastbourne Town five-nil.

Haywards Heath Town welcomed Kingstonian, and the K’s ran out four-one winners. Tom Collins scored for the hosts, Maragh, Cojocarel, Cadogan and Henry finding the net for the visitors.

AFC Sudbury lost two-one to Leiston, whilst Hythe Town welcomed Folkestone Invicta and fell to a three-nil defeat, Olutade and two from Daniel doing the damage.

Billericay Town were defeated five-one as they hosted Wealdstone, Cerulli scoring for the Blues, whilst Potters Bar Town held Boreham Wood to a one-one draw, Kaiser scoring for the Scholars.

Beaconsfield Town and Ashford Town drew three-three, whilst Tooting & Mitcham Utd lost four-nil as they entertained Hendon. Binfield conceded five at home to Slough Town.

Lordswood and Sheppey United drew one-one, Lambert scoring for the Ites, whilst Chichester City crossed the Brockenhurst cattle grid (it’s to keep New Forest ponies from eating the pitch) and left with a three-three draw. Cray Valley PM conceded five at home to Maidstone United.

Chipstead defeated Herne Bay by the only goal of the game, whilst Heybridge Swifts fell two-one against a Colchester Utd XI. Darren Phillips got the Swifts goal.

Haringey Borough hit SEVEN against Woodford Town, who got one in reply. There were two hat tricks, Ashman and Georgiou with three each, whilst Aresti got the other.

Corinthian-Casuals lost three-one to Farnborough, whilst Whitehawk saw Rob O’Toole and Lambert score first half goals to defeat South Park Reigate.

Horley Town defeated Merstham two-nil, whilst Fareham Town and Littlehampton Town drew two-two, with Jarvis and Pettenden scoring for the Golds.

Chatham Town and Dartford drew one-one, Bradshaw with the goal for the Chats, whilst Ashford United lost one-nil to Margate, Montrell with the goal.

Hungerford Town welcomed Leatherhead and won three-two, Tarpey and- we think- a Trialist- scoring for the Tanners, whilst Walton & Horsham defeated Knaphill three-nil. Southall also won three-nil, at Colney Heath.

Wingate and Finchley and Norwich City drew nil-nil, whilst Thatcham Town held Hartley Wintney to a one-all draw.

Sittingbourne got six without reply against Canterbury City. Ben Gorham, Bagaram Graham (2), Donvieve Jones and Jason Banton (2) were the scorers, that’s seventeen without reply for the Brickies across pre-season so far.

Needham Market defeated Bury Town four-nil, whilst Uxbridge lost three-nil to Bracknell Town.
