Tuesday's Ryman North action review

By David Watters

Wroxham travel to Romford on the final day of the Ryman North season a point clear of Waltham Abbey, current sitting in the third and final relegation spot, writes Pitchero's Steve Whitney.

The Yachtsmen lost 4-0 at Trafford Park on Tuesday night to a Cray Wanderers side already assured of their play-off place.

The Wands led through Michael Freiter`s early fourth minute opener and Jamie Mascoli who added a second 13 minutes later. Ray Powell on 57 minutes and Leigh Bremnerm 12 minutes, completed the scoring.

Waltham Abbey are at home to already-relegated Redbridge needing a win due to an inferior goal difference.

Tuesday`s other games saw Dereham Town win 5-1 at home to Great Wakering Rovers in a game which saw Luke Tuttle scored four times, including two penalties. Matt Howard scored their other goal and Jake Gordon was on target for the Essex side.

Maldon & Tiptree almost matched Dereham, hitting four without reply at the Wallace Binder Stadium against Heybridge Swifts with goals from Tarik Moore-Azille after seven minutes, Sam Newson 11 minutes later and Rhys Henry just before the break, with Adam Mills adding a fourth just after the interval.

Haringey Borough and Soham Town Rangers – separated by only a point in lower mid-table – shared a 2-2 draw in which Ross Paterson gave Rangers an early fourth minute lead that Aaron Scott cancelled out after 38 minutes. Salim Relizani restored Soham`s lead five minutes after the break but Nana Asamoah equalised just four minutes later.
