Tuesday's Ryman Premier action review

East Thurrock United were looking to move into fourth place in the Ryman Premier table when they entertained a Kingstonian side in decent form themselves, writes Pitchero's Steve Whitney.

K's have lost only once in their previous ten league matches, while the Rocks were looking to follow up last Saturday's 1-0 win against Leiston – a result that lifted them into the play-off places.

However, a goal from Jesse Darko with 15 minutes to play at Rookery Hill eventually earned Kingstonian the points to leave them in ninth spot, six points behind their hosts with a game in hand.

Tuesday's only other game to go ahead saw mid-table Enfield Town push Canvey Island further towards trouble at the foot of the table after a 3-2 win at the Queen Elizabeth II Stadium.

Claudio Vilcu gave the home side a 12th minute lead. But Canvey came back to lead 2-1 at half time, thanks to strikes from the on-loan Enoch Showunmi four minutes later and Jay Curran right on the interval whistle.

However, new signing Bobby Devyne came off the bench to equalise for Town on 72 minutes and the winning goal came in injury-time from another sub, Nathan Livings.
