Tuesday's Ryman South action review

By David Watters

Hastings United moved into tenth place in the Ryman South table on Tuesday night following a 5-2 win over lowly East Grinstead Town at the Pilot Field, writes Pitchero's Steve Whitney.

The home side had to come back from being a 31st minute Jack Maloney goal down to win, equalising seven minutes later through Sam Cole. Crucially, they went into the break 2-1 up when Billy Medlock scored a minute before the whistle.

Sam Cruttwell added a third for Hastings on 67 minutes but the Wasps were back in it when Greg Cundle converted a 77th minute penalty. However, Sam Adams on 83 minutes and a second for Cruttwell four minutes later, made it a nap hand for Hastings and the points.

Hastings are now just five points behind the top five with games in hand.
