Tuesday's Ryman South action review

By David Watters

Saturday`s final round of games of the Ryman South season will finally settle the play-offs spots, writes Pitchero's Steve Whitney.

Dorking Wanderers moved three points clear in second place and virtually assured themselves of the runners-up spot after beating Guernsey 4-0 at home on Tuesday night.

Tom Tolfrey`s eighth minute penalty gave the hosts a good start and it got better just two minutes later with a second from Matt Briggs. Ben Dyett added a third after 27 minutes and Tolfrey`s second with 17 minutes left to play killed off the Channel Islanders.

Hythe Town and Worthing are left to battle it out for third and fourth, while Corinthian-Casuals, Hastings United or Faversham Town can all still claim the final spot on the last day.

Elsewhere on Tuesday, Whyteleafe won 3-1 at Molesey, who led through Charlie Samuels` seventh minute opener. Sam Clayton bagged a brace, including an 87th minute penalty, either side of a 74th minute Shawn Lyle effort.

And already relegated Walton & Hersham shared a 1-1 draw at South Park, whose Kieran Lavery cancelled out Michael Salako`s 25th minute opener with a penalty two minutes later.
