Two defensive Towners

By Ian Townsend

Rian McLean returns to Enfield Town, and James Richmond arrives from Merstham

Enfield Town today announced two new additions to their squad, both at the back.

Rian McLean has been a Towner once before, during the first half of the 2018-19 campaign; and was so good that he was snapped up on a professional deal by Doncaster Rovers.

Prior to his time as a Towner he came through the ranks at Leyton Orient, and spent time on loan at Hendon, Margate and Greenwich Borough. Whilst a Rover he also had loan time further north, with Frickley Athletic, Sheffield FC and Pickering. He has also had time at Welling United.

James Richmind spent the last three campaigns with Merstham, making thirty six appearances last season- including one in the November defeat to his new club. Prior to his time as a Moatsider he was a big success at Burgess Hill Town, and also played for Kingstonian and Hampton & Richmond Borough.
