Two for Tooting

Keeper James Shaw returns to Imperial Fields, with Antonio Dembele close behind

Tooting & Mitcham United have announced one returning player and one new arrival.

The returning player is goalkeeper James Shaw, who spent last season with Barking in Pitching In Isthmian North, making thirty three appearances.

James moved to the Blues from Westfield, and prior to his time in Woking was a big success for the Terrors during the curtailed 2019-20 season. He also had a spell in National League South with Tonbridge Angels in between the Terrors and his time in Woking Park.

He progressed through the youth ranks at Burgess Hill Town, and later earned promotion with both Dorking Wanderers and Horsham. After a spell at Haywards Heath Town he returned to Burgess Hill Town, and has also spent time at Three Bridges and Hayes & Yeading United.

Striker Antonio was at Pitching In Isthmian South Central champions Bracknell Town for part of last season, before moving across to the Southern Premier to play for Harrow Borough, who he left recently. He has also turned out for Thatcham Town, Camberley Town and Leatherhead, after spending time in the Borough of Merton with AFC Wimbledon.
