Two Green Lions turn into Robins

Guernsey duo sign for Bristol City

Bristol City yesterday announced that they had signed midfielder Ben Acey and Tim Ap Sion from Pitching In Isthmian South Central side Guernsey, following in the footsteps of Alex Scott, who has been a revelation since his move to the West Country.

Seventeen year old Ben made twenty six appearances for the Green Lions last season, scoring four goals- including three in his last five matches. Sixteen year old Tim made two appearances at the end of the season, scoring in the first- a draw with Chipstead.

Guernsey manager Tony Vance told the City website:

“I am delighted for Ben and Tim, they both have a great opportunity.

Alex has proven that there is some serious talent in Guernsey and whilst these two will have to work very hard and develop fast to emulate Alex's achievements, their signings has cemented our pathway link that Brian (City Academy Director Brian Tinnion) and myself have worked at over the past few years."
