Two hundred and seventy three not out!

Ross Allen makes the difference for Guernsey, Curfews go fourth, whilst Tanners come from behind to win

South Park travelled to the Channel Islands last night knowing that victory would see them up to fourth- but their opponents, Guernsey, made an announcement whilst the Sparks were in the air which would have sent shivers down their spines, had their phones not been in flight mode. Ross Allen was back!

The Green Lions striker went into last night's match having scored two hundred and seventy two goals for the club. By the end, it was two hundred and seventy three- and that goal was the only goal of the game, a result which lifted the hosts to within two points of safety- with a game in hand. The Sparks exerted a great deal of pressure in their attempts to get back into the game, but the green line held, and Guernsey take a second home win in a row.

Chertsey Town travelled to face Tooting & Mitcham United. The Terrors, second bottom at start of play, had won only one of their previous nine matches but started well, and went ahead eight minutes after the start of the second half, Manu Oke-William with the goal. The Curfews, with their eyes firmly on fourth place, struck back with only nineteen minutes remaining, Jake Baxter with his eighth of the season- and they broke home hearts seven minutes later, Jordan Hamilton-Olise with the winner.

Leatherhead welcomed Bedfont Sports to Fetcham Grove. The visitors, newly reinforced with Reyon Dillon, Charlie Wickham, Dom Pires and Ethan Kaiser, had three of the quartet in their squad- and went ahead just after the break, Aidan Brown with the goal. They were in front for only sixty seconds, however, Keane Anderson equalising, and twenty minutes from time Dave Tarpey's twelfth goal of the season sealed the points for the hosts. Tarpey has five goals in his last four matches.
