Two return for the Jammers- but Slew departs

McNamara and Akins sign on once more, but striker Jerome heads for pastures new

Maldon and Tiptree this morning announced that goalkeeper Ben McNamara and defender Lance Akins have agreed to remain with the Jammers for the 2020-21 Pitching In North season, but striker Jorome Slew has decided to try his luck elsewhere.

Goalkeeper Ben, who played for the likes of Dagenham and Redbridge, Braintree Town, Concord Rangers, Grays Athletic, Harlow Town and Northampton Town before joining the Jammers, was in impeccable form last season with twelve clean sheets from his thirty nine appearances. He was helped by having Lance in front of him, the defender, who was previously with Witham Town, Billericay Town, Tilbury and Coggeshall Town, making thirty three appearances and even weighing in with five goals.

Sadly the Jammers will have to do without the services of Jorome, the club's record goalscorer with forty one goals in sixty four appearances, as he's decided to move on- as yet, we don't know to where.
