Tonbridge Angels 3-1 Dulwich Hamlet, Alan Turvey Trophy Semi Final, 14/03/17 | Match Highlights

Highlights of Dulwich's 3-1 defeat against Tonbridge Angels in the Alan Turvey Trophy. With a heavy fixture list on the horizon, Gavin Rose opted to make seven changes from the victory over Merstham the previous Saturday, including handing debuts to defender Harly Wise and midfielder Sulaiman Bah. The hosts meanwhile picked a more experienced starting XI, and they settled quicker into the game, going ahead after nine minutes through Alex Akrofi's tap in. The Hamlet took their time to get going, but would draw level, as captain Kenny Beaney curled a free-kick through the wall and into the bottom corner later. Just past the half-hour mark, Dulwich were awarded a penalty for a foul on Dumebi Dumaka, but Ibra Sekajja saw his attempt saved by Jonathan Henly. The Angels introduced top scorer Nathan Elder at the break, and his impact was instantaneous, as he headed his side back into the lead. The gap was widened with a little more than 20 minutes to play, Akrofi grabbing his second, and despite Dulwich creating late chances, Henly was on hand to repel anything they could muster, and it was the hosts who advanced to take on Billericay Town in the final next month.
