Walker for Whitehawk

By Ian Townsend

Goalkeeper Mitch Walker returns to the game- as a Hawk

Whitehawk have announced the signing of goalkeeper Mitch Walker, who pulls on his gloves once more after missing the whole of last season with injury.

Mitch has had a successful career at a higher level than ours. Coming through the Academy at Brighton & Hove Albion he graduated to the first team squad, and had loan spells at Eastbourne Borough and Welling United before becoming the first line of Dover Athletic's defence. He remained with Dover for seven seasons, making close to two hundred and fifty appearances, most of them in the National League.

Aldershot Town was his next port of call, and he was one of the first names on the teamsheet for three seasons until suffering serious injury. He spent some of last season, whilst injured, coaching at Tonbridge Angels, but is now fit to keep goal again and will be between the sticks at the Enclosed Ground.
