Wednesday's Ryman Premier action review

By David Watters

Leiston extended their mini unbeaten run in the Ryman Premier to five games with a goal in either half against Harrow Borough on Wednesday night to move level on points with fifth-placed Kingstonian, writes Pitchero's Steve Whitney.

Leading scorer Christy Finch opened the scoring after 33 minutes at Victory Road before substitute Jake Taylor sealed the win with his second goal in as many games in the final minute of normal time. It was also the Blues fourth successive clean sheet.

Bognor Regis Town are just a point and a place behind the Blues, but with a massive six games in hand, after a comfortable 3-0 win at Fetcham Grove against mid-table Leatherhead.

It was probably a game that the Rocks could have done without, just three days before their massive FA Trophy Semi-Final trip to National League outfit Grimsby Town, but they received a boost to their morale with a good performance and result.

Stuart Green gave the Sussex side a 10th minute lead they held until the half-time break. Six minutes into the second period and Ollie Pearce doubled the Rocks` lead before adding his second and the visitors` third in the 69th minute.
