Midfielder Mike West to stay at Bay

Herne Bay this week announced the permanent arrival of midfielder Mike West from Ebbsfleet United. Mike ended last season on loan with Bay, making ten appearances as they stormed their way into the top five and then earned promotion via the Play Off's.

Mike was a youth with Ebbsfleet before moving on to the first team and then being picked up by Crewe Alexandra. He spent time at Hereford United on loan before moving back to Kent and United, and then played for Whitehawk when they were a National League South side, and Chelmsford City.

An Isthmian spell at Kingstonian came next, fifteen matches and one goal during 2017-18, before time back in National League South with Eastbourne Borough, and another brief Isthmian spell, five games with Tonbridge Angels during their most recent promotion season.

He was back at Ebbsfleet in the summer of 2020.
