Wilson returning with Rocks

Former Heybridge Swifts manager Keith Wilson is returning to the Ryman League with East Thurrock United.

Barring the play-off hopefuls winning promotion this week, Wilson, pictured, will be on the touchline in the Ryman's top flight come August alongside Rocks boss John Coventry and his assistant Jay Devereux.

In a statement on Tuesday ahead of the club hosting Tonbridge Angels in their play-off semi-final on Thursday night, officials said Wilson had accepted an offer to stand down as manager of Essex Senior League side Burnham Ramblers to join Coventry's staff at Rookery Hill.

Wilson re-joined Burnham Ramblers as boss in April 2015 after a nine-month spell managing Heybridge Swifts. In their first season in the Ryman North, Wilson steered Ramblers to 17th in the table.
