Wins for Walton and Southall on FA Cup Tuesday

By Ian Townsend

We've a brief round up, three match programmes and a reminder of tonight's action, involving Sutton Common Rovers and Whitehawk

After the original match was called off due to pitch issues, Sheppey United finally took on Athletic Newham last night- and the Ites were given a mighty scare, having to come back from three-one down to earn a draw.

Warren Mfula put United ahead on the half hour, but Newham bounced back with a hat trick from Appiah and there were only twenty minutes to go when Billy Bennett narrowed the gap. Right at the end when all seemed lost, Mfula popped up again to grab an equaliser- and now we just need to find out when- and where- the replay will be played.

Read the programme from that one, here.

Onto the replays now, and Coggeshall Town depart the competition after losing two-one at Barking. Daniel Ogunleye got the one Seed Growers goal, and the visitors played half the match with ten men after Josh Hughes saw red.

Walton and Hersham travelled to Kennington- well, Ashford United- and put their hosts to the sword, winning four-nil. Max Blackmore got the first two, John Gilbert made it three, and Jordan Adeyemi got the fourth ten minutes from time. The programme from that one is here.

Southall were also victors on the road, defeating Redhill three-one with a double from Anthony O'Connor sandwiching a goal from Jack Roper.

We have two more matches tonight. Sutton Common Rovers welcome Fisher to Whyteleafe after the two played out a goalless draw on Saturday, and another two goalless draw specialists meet again as K Sports welcome our very own Whitehawk.
