Witherspoon returns for season four

By Ian Townsend

Millers midfielder will be back

Aveley have announced that midfield general Connor Witherspoon has agreed to return for a fourth straight season.

Connor, a promotion winner with Brightlingsea Regent, has made more than one hundred appearances for the club- and it would have undoubtedly have been many more had we actually got to finish the last two campaigns. He was a massive part of their giant killing run to the Quarter Finals of the FA Trophy in 2019-20, featuring in the victories over East Grinstead Town, Bowers and Pitsea, Taunton Town, Biggleswade Town, Carshalton Athletic and Chelmsford City, as well as in their eventual defeat at Notts County.

Prior to his time with the Millers and Regent, he turned out for Hornchurch, Enfield Town and East Thurrock United.
