Gareth Chendlik joins our Pitching In Isthmian South Central title chasers

Northwood have announced the signing of former Hanwell Town striker Gareth Chendlik, the former Geordie hotshot looking to make it two promotions in a row.

Gareth missed a large chunk of last season with injury, but still managed to deliver five goals in the Geordies last seven matches to help them to promotion. That was his third season in black and white- a period where he also forged a relationship with that other Geordie number nine, Alan Shearer, after running one hundred charity kilometers to support the Sir Bobby Robson Foundation.

Prior to his time with the Geordies he turned out for Egham Town, Harrow Borough, Leighton Town and Hemel Hempstead Town, as most recently he has been with the Woods South Central rivals, Uxbridge, where he has played thirteen times and scored three goals.
