Worthing to play away

Pitch issues force reversal of fixtures

A couple of weeks ago Worthing explained that they were still having some issues with their pitch. Following a long term dispute with their pitch contractors- in which they've needed support from FIFA, the FA and the League- they've finally secured agreement to rework the sub base and replace the carpet. This work continues, having been delayed by lockdown, but won't be finished in time for the big kick off.

Accordingly the Mackerel Men's home fixtures with Folkestone Invicta and Potters Bar Town have now been reversed, which means that the club will play Invicta in Kent on September 19th, and the Scholars at the LA Construction Stadium on October 3rd. The first scheduled home match for the club will see them entertain Bowers and Pitsea on October 10th.
