Yachtsmen number two stands down

By David Watters

Ryman North Wroxham have wished Cedric Anselin well and thanked him for his services after the Frenchman stepped down as assistant manager.

The 38-year-old stood down at the weekend for personal reasons after joining the Yachtsmen at the start of the 2014-15 campaign as number two to former manager Stewart Larter. The pair arrived together from Gorleston and guided Wroxham to victory over Dereham Town in the Norfolk Senior Cup.

After kicking off his career as a midfielder at Bordeaux and Lille before leaving Norwich in 2001, pictured, the popular Frenchman went on to play for Ross County, Mildenhall Town, Cambridge United, Gravesend & Northfleet, King's Lynn Town, Dereham Town and Lowestoft Town.

A Yachtsmen statement confirming his departure read: "Cedric would like to wish the football club all the best and thank you to all those involved. The football club would also like to wish Cedric all the best for the future and to thank him for his efforts with Wroxham FC."
