Former Lewes defender signs on at AFC Sudbury


AFC Sudbury have announced the arrival of midfielder Christian Frimpong, late of Braintree Town.

We thought he was a defender, as he was certainly described that way when joining Lewes in February of last year. He went on to make six appearances for the Rooks before covid hit in March 2020, and then followed that with another ten last season before heading back to the Iron.

Christian played for Bristol City as a teenager, before joining Swindon Town on a Scholarship deal. He left the County Ground in 2017, had a trial with Norwich City, but then signed for Braintree before his time as a Rook.
